HorizonHorizon Yacht Charters was originally established in 1996 in Tortola, British Virgin Islands (BVI). Offering a level of service rarely seen before in the yacht charter business, the company has rapidly grown, and today has four bases throughout the Caribbean: BVI, Grenada, Antigua & Barbuda and since January 2006, a new base in St Maarten.
Each of the bases are owner-operated and we pride ourselves on offering well-maintained yachts, first-class customer service and great value for money. The majority of our clients are either repeat guests or referrals which is a great endorsement of our service. Our offering extends to private yacht management and yacht sales; offering yachts for sale for both private use and inclusion within our charter management programme.
David Duong is the director of our St Maarten base. Aged 35, David began his career in the charter industry when he was just 15; renting out beach cats in La Baule, France. He has been successful in all aspects of the marine business; a certified yacht captain, marine technician, ship chandler and finally, the manager of Horizon’s latest base. To his credit, he is also the youngest marine surveyor in the Caribbean.
